Zulu people myths and beliefs

Zulu people have their own set of myths and beliefs. Owl is a most hatred bird with Zulu people.

This bird is regarded as a bird that bring about misfortune when it came and rest in your yard over the night.

It also believed that sorcerers are using this bird to make the whole family coming down with sicknesses even death.

When such bird visited your homestead during evening, traditional healers would be consulted to give some clarity that led an owl to pay you a visit at night.

Traditional healers are thought to have powers to communicate with ancestors, predict the future and divulging any secrete plots by the sorceres or enemies.
