Cattle in the kraal.

Many cows were the sign of being opulent with Zulu culture before money in the bank accounts took over.

Cow would play an important role in the Zulu people’s lives to provide food at home and ancestry communication when slaughtered.

Parents would force their daughters to marry opulent men in exchang of cattle.

Women were forced by their parents to marry men who have large amounts of live stock despite their love choices.

A man without cattle in his kraal, would not gain his dignity to be called a man and his views would not receive any attention during meetings.

Life would look promising if that man have girl children to get married when they become adults in that manner he would get brides’ gifts in terms of cattle.
